Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu

The cyclonic low-pressure format which existed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal extending from North Tamil Nadu to the South Andhra coastal area has weakened. At the same time, another cyclonic format existing over the North Tamil Nadu coastal area and the surrounding areas are moving towards the South Tamil Nadu coastal area.
Because of this and due to the formation of a thermal convection, there are prospects of rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in a few places in the next 24 hours. There may be heavy rain in one or two places.
The Chennai Metro city will remain cloudy. It may rain with thunder in the evening or night in a few places in the city.
