For a period of 3 months, the Parent Teacher Associations is allowed to appoint temporary staff members until when the schools in northern districts get post-graduate teachers appointed.

In a recent report by a leading journal, it was complained that there are a number of vacancies in PG teacher posts in the northern districts. Students studying in Vellore and Cuddalore districts who took up the board exams showed very poor performance. The whopping 1,500 vacancies is a major reason for the same.

After creating abuzz in this regard, the school education minister K.A. Sengottaiyan had considered the issue and taken immediate measures to solve the issue.

Speaking about the same, he said the government is taking necessary measures to appoint enough number of teaching members in the northern districts. Until when the PG teachers are appointed, these vacancies will be filled with temporary teachers for about 3 months.

Backed by the Parent Teacher Association, all the PG graduates in the area are set to get appointed in temporary basis. Payment details will soon be specified for these temporary teachers soon.
