With sustained rural development
posing a challenge, our Rotary District has taken on Happy Village a vision
to transform the lives of over 1 lakh Indian residing in rural sectors. Rotary club
of Madras Cosmos has adopted a village and working towards transforming into a
model village with access to medical facilities, clean drinking water, schools,
housing and toilets for all.
We are extremely excited to take
this initiative for a larger cause, said Uday Shankar, President of Rotary
Club of Madras Cosmos.
It is saddening to know that each year, about 20,000 babies and infants
are diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Half of people with cerebral palsy use
assistive devices, including braces, walkers, and wheelchairs, to help them be
more mobile. About 30% of children with cerebral palsy have seizures. We want
to make a difference in their lives. Using the proceeds of this show we can
make a difference in the lives of Puduraja
Kandigai villagers.
The event, Best of evam`s Stand Up Tamasha, will take place from 7:30 to 9:00
p.m. at the Museum Hall, Egmore, Chennai. Donor tickets are INR 500 and
