NEET type entrance examinations for engineering aspirants

The central government has decided to conduct similar NEET entrance examinations for engineering aspirants. At a time when NEET entrance examination was made compulsory for MBBS and BDS courses, the central government has now decided to conduct similar NEET entrance examinations for admission to engineering courses. In order to implement this scheme from the year 2018-2019, the AICTE has been requested by Ministry of Human Resource Development to fix the rules. It is also understood that IITs and NITs may also be brought in under the ambit of the new test.
