Posted on: 07/Feb/2017 10:56:26 AM
Rajendra Ratnoo, Director of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu has sent a circular to all the Principals of the self financing polytechnics. In that he has mentioned: All the self-financing polytechnics who offer engineering diploma courses should admit students in their colleges only after renewing the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognition for the year 2017-18.

Without the recognition of students should not be admitted. As per the AICTE rules, penalty can be imposed on the unrecognized colleges. Criminal action can be initiated and also prevent students’ admission. Seats can be reduced. In case if the polytechnic does not obtain AICTE recognition for the academic year and admits students, permission will not be granted for admission. Apart from this the students will not be permitted to write the semester.
