Mamallapuram Dance Festival commences

The Indian Dance Festival organized by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Board commenced yesterday at Mamallapuram in Kancheepuram District. Every year this Indian Dance Festival is organized in the famous tourist centre Mamallapuram. The programme was inaugurated yesterday. Top officials from the Tamil Nadu state government participated in this inaugural function. The dance function will commence from 25th December and will be held for 30 days.
Exponents of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Odissi, Mohini Attam and Kathakali perform against this magnificent backdrop of the Pallava rock sculptures.
