Anna University to set up ICRFT

The Anna University will be setting up the new centre called the International Centre for Research Facilitation and Training (ICRFT), which will incubate startup companies and support research activities, will be inaugurated soon in the university campus.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa during the month of August announced a Rs. 50 crore centre for promoting international research and development and training. The centre would act as a facilitator for obtaining information on patent rights and for securing patents.
The centre will help the facilitation of research and product development. It will coordinate with the sources of funding, conduct reviews and enable effective translation of these research programs
