New currency notes of Rs. 500 in 3 days

The arrival of the new currency notes of Rs. 500/- denomination to Tamil Nadu has been delayed. The General Manager (Headquarters) of Indian Bank in Chennai, Mr. Nagarajan, informed that the new currency notes of Rs. 500/- will be available in 3 days.
He further informed that the new Rs. 500/- currency notes are being printed in Mysore. The dispatch of these notes to Tamil Nadu has been delayed. They are expected to be available in another 3 days.
The finger-print inking system has been implemented in Indian Bank. Once a person gets the ink impression on his/her fingers, he/she cannot exchange old notes again till 30th December.
