TANGEDCO to accept old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes until midnight on November 11

TANGEDCO in a press release has mentioned: According to an announcement by the Central government, the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes would be accepted as bill payments, taxes and penalty that are to be paid to Central and State governments, including municipalities and local bodies. Accordingly TANGEDCO bills can be paid with old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes until midnight on November 11. This decision would not affect the extension of the deadline for bill payment by a week
