NO GPS on Rs. 2000 notes

The Reserve Bank of India, or RBI, has said that reports about the launch of GPS enabled currency notes that would help government to track and locate currency notes even if it is kept 120 metres below ground level are false.
An official from the RBI said, It is not correct. We have explained in detail all the security features of the newly minted currency notes on our website. We have nothing more to add to that.
