Its shivering in North Interior Tamil Nadu and the minimum (night) temperature are well below normal. Places like Hosur has got 12 C will u believe it ? that too in November. The districts of vellore, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri were shivering.
How long will this cold nights continue ?
This cold nights in north Interior Tamil Nadu and western Tamil Nadu is going to continue for next 3 days till 13th November. There is hardly any moisture / cloud cover in the atmoshere, Thats why nights are very cold as all the radiation will escape atmosphere without getting trapped. This will change from 13th when the next easterly wave moves towards Tamil Nadu.
When will the next rains start ?
From 13th the next rains will start in Chennai and 2nd half of November good rains can be expected in Delta coast, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and South Tamil Nadu and surrounding regions. Interior Tamil Nadu dont expect too much from this.
