Reserve Bank - Helpline set up for any clarifications

The Reserve Bank of India has announced a helpline telephone number for the public to get clarifications regarding getting new currency notes and also the exchange of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes declared invalid.
The Director of the Chennai Region of the Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Sadakthulla, explained that 275 currency boxes/crates of te Reserve Bank of India are in readily available condition for distribution of new currency notes to the different banks in Tamil Nadu.
In fact, the currency has already been distributed yesterday (Wednesday, 9th November) to all banks.
The public can show their Identity Proofs and deposit money (Currency of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000) after filling up the form. From tomorrow, Rs. 2000/- per day can be withdrawn from the ATMs. From 19th November, Rs. 10000/- per day or Rs. 20000/- per week can be withdrawn from the ATMs.
