Bangalore International Airport to be closed for maintenance works

The Bangalore International Airport will be closed for two and half months in the beginning of the next year for the sake of maintenance and upgradation works.
The partial closure will be for six-and-a-half hours daily (from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm) from Feb. 19, 2017 to April 30, 2017 to carry out a runway upgradation project
There will be no impact on airport operations. Currently, the runway handles 38 air traffic movements per hour. With the additional upgradation, this is expected to increase to 48 per hour.
