Special bus services for Deepavali commences today

4400 special buses will be operated from today for three days on the occasion of Deepavali festival. The transport department  has announced that special buses will be operated on 26th, 27th and 28th for the convenience of  the people.
 
Everyday 2275 buses are operated from Chennai to all district capitals and important cities of all districts. In addition to this today (26th) 979 special buses will be operated.  1717 buses will be operated on 27th and 1704 buses will be operated on 28th. On the whole 4400 special buses will be operated for 3 days. In addition to the usual bus services, 11225 buses is to be operated for three days.2507 special buses from important cities will be operated on 26th. Similarly on 27th, 3488 buses are to be operated and on 28th, 4069 are to be operated.
 
The special buses towards Andhra Pradesh will start from Anna Nagar West depot, while buses going towards Kancheepuram and East Coast Road will start from the 100 Feet Road opposite to CMBT.
 
Buses which pass through Vikravandi and Panruti in Villupuram district will be operated from Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) at Tambaram Sanatorium. Buses going towards Vellore will start from Poonamallee bus stand. 
 
Special buses operating to Mayiladudhurai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Sengotta, Velankanni, Tuticorin, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari and other parts of the state will start from Koyambedu bus stand.Reservation will close on 28th.
