Get ready to be Hunger battlers this world food day on October 16.Food bank India, Pan India NGO which concentrate on eradicating hunger and mal nutrition from Indian streets is getting ready to celebrate their 2nd world Food day in Chennai. The Chennai based NGO has spread its wings Tier 1 cities like Coimbatore, Salem, Hyderabad, Nizamabad , etc., The founder Sneha Mohandass have already organized 5lakh+ meal to homeless hungry and the needy with the help of volunteers through group messaging and social media.
What is special about this drive is that Sneha Mohandass and her volunteers do not just give out food packets from hotels, or any leftovers from their homes, but provide the poor with fresh home cooked food. She feels that when one helps, one must help to the best of their ability. The weak and poor, deserve home cooked healthy food, not just any food.
In a pursuit of my long-cherished goal of giving every street dweller a peaceful day with meals. When talking about Chennai chapter, this time we have planned for massive cooking which feeds 1000+ hungry , and under privileged in and around Chennai We do collect groceries from publics where everyone can participate in this noble event, again we do have open registration for non volunteers who can contribute them self physically for packing and distribution., I have always believed technology can help greatly in solving issues related to hunger. We will bring technology, logistics, IT, and the involvement of the local community to feed their own community.
