Four-year integrated B.Ed. course from this year

Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has ordered to start 4 years B.Ed courses in Tamil Nadu after examining the syllabus of the new course. Honourable CM has ordered to start the course from this 2016-2017 academic year itself.
In a bid to make teacher education more professional, the Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Education University is planning to introduce a four-year integrated B.Ed. course for students completing Plus Two. On successful completion of the proposed course, a student will receive a B.Sc. or a B.A. degree and also learn teaching methodology for a B.Ed. degree.
The National Teachers Education Council has introduced 4 year B.Ed courses for the Plus Two candidates.
For this new course, 17 B.Ed colleges in Tamil Nadu are permitted. The official admission notification for the Four Year B.Ed Courses will be published soon.
