Patrol cycles give helping hands to the cops

Patrol cycles were distributed for Chennai police for patrolling purposes.
Last month Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa distributed 250 cycles to the policemen. These cycles are being utilized in all the police stations in Chennai. There is a head light and siren fitted in these cycles. This is a boon to the night patrolling policemen. Earlier it was difficult for policemen to steer into small lanes. Police officials say that the cycle is very useful in these cases.
T Nagar Assistant Commissioner Saravanan was at KK Nagar and motivated the cycle patrol policemen. He also visited the nearby slum and asked the dweller about the policemen activities. The public mentioned that the policemen were very duty conscious and punctual.
