An official of the Meteorological Centre has mentioned: Due to convection, there will be rains in one or two places of Tamil Nadu. As far as Chennai is concerned, there will be rains in the evening or night. Since there is delay in the sea breeze due to less humidity, the mercury in Chennai will increase by 2 degrees to 3 degrees. This intensive heat will prevail for the next few days.
