Wind energy is superb again

The manufacturers and officials are happy because more power is generated through windmill.
There are large number of wind power sub stations in Nellai and Thoothukudi Districts. Tamil Nadu Electricity Board received 2500 megawatts power every day from windmills. Because of this, it lessened the power production at the thermal plants.
Last month the production of wind power was less than 500 megawatts. For the last two weeks there was more supply of power. The wind power manufactures mentioned: We had requested the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to order TNEB to buy the power from us. Accordingly the TNEB also procured the power in large volumes. Since there were fewer winds, the production of wind power was affected. Next month at a time when the season is going to an end, there is more wind power now.
TNEB official said: At a time when there is demand for more power, the wind power is giving a helping hand. Because of this, it is easy to fulfill the power demand.
