Major shuffle of IPS officers

In a major reshuffle, the Tamilnadu government on Tuesday transferred 14 senior police officers in Chennai city and 10 in other districts.
Accordingly, K Shankar and P Sakthivel, Joint Commissioners of Police of Central Zone and Traffic respectively in Chennai, were transferred to West Zone and South Zone in the same position. AG Pon Manickavel, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Railways was transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch.
G Karthikeyan, Deputy Commissioner, Chennai Traffic Police, was posted to Pulianthope in the same designation. Ashwin M Kotnis, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pulianthope was transferred to St Thomas Mount in the same designation.
S Baskaran, Deputy Commissioner of Police, was transferred to Triplicane from St Thomas Mount in the same designation.
H M Jayaram, DIG of Police Idol Wing CID, was posted as Joint Commissioner of Traffic North. While M Ramasubramani, DIG, Armed Police, Tiruchi, replaced S N Seshasai in Vellore in the same designation, the Vellore DIG was transferred to Chennai as Joint Commissioner East Zone.
T K Pugalendhi, Deputy Commissioner of Triplicane will replace V S Karuppasamy as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mylapore.
S Rajendran, Deputy Commissioner of Ambattur, was posted in place of Santhosh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Madhavaram, who was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, West Zone.
S Prabhakran, Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Chennai suburban headquarters, was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration.
Anisa Husain, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Central, was transferred to East Zone in the same designation.
In other districts, 10 officers were transferred with immediate effect.
Vijayanta Goyal was posted as Aassistant Superintendent of Police in Avinashi sub-division in Tirupur district. N Harish was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Thiruparankundram in Madurai district.
C Vijaya Kumar was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Valliyur, Tirunelveli district .
