Google has released its biggest ever Android security report. The report is the biggest since the program had been officially started in the month of August 2015. The July bulletin has details about Android vulnerability and security. Around 108 bugs vulnerabilities are noted in two batches, containing 20 issues that were labelled ‘critical’ threats.

According to the report, one of the most patched section for this month was the Media server component, as seen is past releases. Other security fixes related to Qualcomm components were also listed down; a total of 42 Qualcomm-oriented issues were fixed this month.

Reports have said that the reason for the Android Security Bulletin being delivered din two batches is the increase in the number of malware in Android. The first batch was released on July 1. This contained general fixes to the Android OS. The second batch was released on July 5. This report included fixes to devices-specific components.

The report also spoke about the fact that OEMs that don’t usually feature specific drivers such as Nvidia, Qualcomm, or MediaTek, must be careful and selective while applying the patch.
