Salary for central government employees to be hiked soon

There are more than 1 Crore central government employees and pensioners throughout the country. Very soon these employees will be benefitted because the Seventh Pay Commission is to be implemented soon.
The Finance Ministry is now preparing a Cabinet note on the report submitted by Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha-headed panel on the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations.
If accepted, over 1 crore Central government employees and pensioners will be benefited by at least 23.55 per cent. The report may come up for approval by the Cabinet as early as June 29.
Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa said: Committee of Secretaries has finalised its report on Pay Commission recommendations. We will soon (file) draft Cabinet note based on the report. After the discussion the announcement will be made.
