More CCTV footage of Swathis killer

The Government Railway Police, or the GRP, has not yet identified the killer of Infosys employee S. Swathi. Swathi was murdered two days ago at the Nungambakkam Railway Station. The Police have, however, recovered more CCTV footage that shows the suspect escaping. GRP officials released footage that was recovered from the CCTV that is located on Railway Border Road. They have appealed to the public to provide details about the suspect.
Speaking about this, a senior GRP officer said, We are able to map the route of the murderer from the CCTV footage, but are finding it difficult to sketch the accused because of the poor quality of the footage. A team is trying to enhance the quality of the footage in which the accused is seen fleeing from the crime spot at the station, scaling a wall and walking on the Railway Border Road.
Chennai City Police have also started helping the GRP in the investigation. A senior police officer said, The local police have been providing all assistance in the investigation process based on the requests from the GRP. The local police are already on the job of assisting the investigation. Teams have been talking to various commercial establishments and local people to find the identity of the killer.
Members of Swathi’s family have also appealed to the public to help find her killer. They have also urged the media to avoid speculating about the character of the victim.
