Freedom 251 smartphone to be delivered from 28th June

Ringing Bells has announced that the Freedom 251 a Rs. 251 smartphone will start deliveries of the handset to customers from June 28. Ringing Bells began selling the handset, Freedom 251, via its website in February. But the launch of the smartphone, touted to be the worlds cheapest, swirled into controversy, with some calling it a fraudulent scheme.
The phone was to be manufactured in Noida and Uttaranchal.
Noida-based company`s Managing Director Mohit Goel said: We will start shipment of Freedom 251 from June 28 to customers who paid for it earlier on COD (cash-on-delivery) basis.
