Smart Offline feature on YouTube

Here is a new feature on YouTube called Smart Offline. This is a video streaming service that will allow all the users to download video far cheaper rates like that of night data rates offered by networks in India.
In YouTube blog, it was stated that the feature is getting kick-started today and that it is called Smart Offline. This will be beneficial to the users in terms of its cheap data rates. This eliminates the need or staying late up night.
When the grey arrow is clicked, you take the video online. You will get a prompt that asks whether to save it overnight Save overnight which lets you download the video at night at discounted data plan.
On selecting this, the video download will get scheduled for downloading at night when it is not peak hour. You will then be able to watch the video offline without the need for buffering it in the next morning, the company said in its blog.
This feature is now available on Airtel and Telenor subscribers. It was launched on Thursday. It will soon get expanded all over India. It is to be noted that the feature cannot be used over Wi-Fi. To enjoy this feature, users need to get their YouTube mobile app updated in their phone.
