Own your post box scheme launched

Indian posts in order to help IT professionals have launched Own your post box scheme.
Own your post box’ scheme was launched by Chennai City Postal Region along with Nasscom (National Association of Software and Services Companies) on Friday at Taramani Ramanujan IT Park. Mervin Alexander, Postmaster General (CCR) and K. Purushothaman, Nasscom’s senior director launched this scheme. During this event, 5 IT employees were given keys for the post box.
The service is now open for all individuals. These post boxes with dedicated numbers are nothing but row of pigeon-hole facilities at post offices where mail will be stored. Mervin Alexander, Postmaster General (CCR), said instead of full postal address, people could just use their post box number and not worry about change of address. An intimation slip will be dropped in the post box to facilitate customers to collect parcels
