India’s base salary is very less when compared to other countries in Asia-Pacific region

A research states that annual base salaries in India are the lowest in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Willis Towers Watson, a global advisory, broking and solutions company made a survey that covered over 5,500 companies in the APAC region and around 313 firms from India participated.
Some of the important findings in the survey:
India offers the lowest average annual base salary of USD 66000 (Rs 4.4 Lakhs) across the region. This is very less when compared to other countries in Asia-Pacific region. This is half of the salary when compared to China. China`s base salaries across all job grades are between 64% and 100% higher than in India.
