Reliance introduces jio 4G: free for the first 3 months

The long-awaited introduction of Reliance jio has happened. Until now, only the Reliance Group employees have been using jio from the last December. Now, this has been introduced to the public as well.

The service will be free for the 1st 3 months of usage. However, only those who buy jio SYF smartphone can utilise this free offer. This also includes 4500 minutes free talk. These smartphones are sold for Rs. 5490/- to Rs. 19399/-.

A new website jio.com has also been introduced. The customers can register here for jio services.

Information is gathered that SYF smart phones and 4G SIMs will be sold in the Reliance retail shops and other major shops in main cities.Initially, 4G service was offered only to Reliance Group employees.

After that, a scheme was introduced where the Reliance Group employees can introduce this service to 10 friends. Now, the service is open to the public.

Reliance jio is sharing the spectrum with Reliance Communications. It also shares the spectrum with other cell phone tower companies like Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Reliance Infratel, and Indus Towers.

The Head of the reliance group, Mukesh Ambani has informed that Reliance jio was the world’s largest start-up. Jio has been started with the investment of Rs. 1.5 Lakh Crores.

With the start of Reliance jio, it is expected that other similar service companies already in the market, such as Bharti Airtel, IDEA, and Vodafone will face stiff competition
