Google testing a feature that will help erase unwanted apps

Posted on: 04/Jun/2016 9:51:28 AM
Google is developing a feature that will suggest to the user the apps that can be uninstalled in case of less storage space. All too often, one goes through trying to figure out what should be uninstalled to gain some more space.

Research has shown that, on an average, around 70 apps are installed on any given phone - including user apps and those that come along with the operating system. More often than not, the scarcity of storage space comes to light at the last possible moment.

Reports have said that Google is now testing a new feature that will solve the issue and it will integrate it within Google Play. This feature will look at the size of the app and will also consider the number of times it has been used over a long period. Apps that are not used often will top the list of suggested apps to be uninstalled.

The beta version of this feature is out now.
