Chennai Amirtha announces scholarship to students

Chennai’s Amirtha International Institute of Hotel Management has announced that a scholarship of Rs 2 crore will be given to students.
Chennai’s Amirtha together with other educational institutions offers courses like hotel management, B.Sc catering science and hotel management and many other under graduation and post-graduation studies.
Students studying here get internship training in 450 hotels across the world. From the ongoing academic year, Chennai’s Amirtha is set to begin its scholarship scheme. This is promising to benefit over 2000 students.
In a press release released about the same, the institution management has mentioned that SC and ST students who study with their college as first generation students will receive a discount of 10 percent. Those who have received 450 and above in 10th and 1100 and above in 12th will receive 10 percent discount. Those who have scored 400 and above in 10th and 1000 and above in 12th will receive a discount of 5 percent.
Those who have got all the above eligibilities will get a maximum of 20 percent discount. Furthermore, students whose family’s annual income is within Rs 1.20 lakh will receive 50 percent scholarship.
Students who are presently studying with their college have also got discount offers. 1300 of the students who have 100 percent attendance in previous semester will receive 10 percent discount in fees. 300 of the students who have scored above 90 percent marks will have 10 percent discount in fees during the next semester. Those who have got both these eligibilities will receive 20 percent discount.
