Rajesh Lakhani: In the event of narrow wins, postal votes will be recounted

Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer Mr. Rajesh Lakhani had a session with press reporters today (Wednesday, 18th May).
The counting of votes will commence at 8.00 AM tomorrow (Thursday, 19th May) in 232 constituencies.All required arrangements have been made. 3-layered security has been provided. Armed police have been deployed.
9621 officials will be engaged in the counting of votes. No person without identity will be admitted inside the counting centres. Cell phones are not permitted in the counting centres.
A surveillance camera has been set up on each counting table. An alert observer will be present by each table.
The election results will be announced once in every 5 minutes on the internet.
If the margin of victory is very low, the postal votes will be counted again.
