Rise in reservoir levels

It rained heavily in Chennai due to the intense depression formed over the Bay of Bengal. This has helped a rise in the water levels of the reservoirs.
Chembarambakkam lake is at 19.43 ft It is expected that water will be let out if it reaches 22 ft. It is receiving an inflow of 556 cft of water.
The Chennai meteorological Centre has informed that 12 cm rain has been recorded in Chembarambakkam area.
