All India Bank Employees Association to go on strike on 20th

There will be national wide strike on 20th by the employees of 5 associate banks of the SBI since State Bank of India announced its merger plans. The Central Government is on the process of merging State Bank of Travancore (SBT), State Bank of Mysore (SBM), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) and State Bank of Patiala (SBP) with State Bank of India. This has forced employees of all five associate banks of SBI, affiliated to All India Bank Employees Association, to protest against forceful closure and takeover of associate banks by SBI.
75,000 bank employees throughout the country will go on strike on 20th. On that days the banks will a incur a loss of Rs 250 Crores in Tamil Nadu alone.
