27 vacants in post-graduate medical courses after 2nd stage counselling

It has been announced that there are 27 vacant seats after the completion of the 2nd stage counselling for joining postgraduate medical courses.

There are totally 854 state government seats in all the government colleges and the government quota in all self-financed colleges for joining postgraduate medical courses in the academic year 2016-18 such as postgraduate chartered course, the 6-year course on Neurology surgery, post graduation in dentistry, etc.

At the end of the 1st stage counselling for these courses, there were 103 vacant seats including 89 (post graduation – medical) and 14 (Post graduation – dentistry).

Following this, 83 seats in post graduate medical course and 3 seats in post graduation dentistry course were offered to the state government from the central government quota.

The 1st stage of counselling was conducted in the Omandhurar Multi-speciality hospital on 12th and 13th April. After this, there were 23 vacant seats for post graduation medical and 4 vacant seats in post graduation dentistry for a total of 27 vacant seats.

The Selection Committee Secretary Mr. Selvarajan informed that the admission of the students must be completed before 31st May. So, the interviews will be conducted within the available time and the admissions will be completed.
