Are there health benefits with flavored water? There are a number of questions that arise about the various kinds of water we use in our everyday life. The below will give you a basic idea and answers for all these queries and doubts.

Tonic water

Tonic water is usually used as drink mixer for cocktails. This carries a bitter flavor which is due to the addition of quinine in it. Tonic water had initially been used as medical tonic. Originally, carbonated water added with much of quinine was recommended for consumption in tropical regions due to wide spreading malaria. Now, however, the quantity of use of quinine is largely reduced and tonic water is used in bars and in other drink mixers.

Mineral water

Water sourced from springs and fountains contain rich minerals, salts, Sulphur, etc all of which make the mineral water. Earlier, people used to visit these springs expecting cure, but these are being sold in bottles nowadays.

Infused water

This water is also called detox water. It is among the commonly used drinks in the recent days. To make this, take a jar and fill it with chopped veggies and fruits and herbs; to this, add some cold water. This water will taste delicious in addition to being super healthy. This will help detoxify your body and help in shedding kilos.

Flavored water

This can be either artificially manufactured or done on your own. It is very easy to be made. Take a jar and place herbs and fruits in a jar. Muddle this with spoon. Add water to it and have. This will carry extraordinary flavor. Manufactured flavored water come with added artificial flavors.

Sparkling water

Sparkling water is a variety of mineral water that contains dissolved gases in natural form. Artificially manufactured sparkling waters are primarily carbonated ones, but they are healthier too, as they do not contain added sugar content. However, it is not advisable to replace normal water with sparkling water, as there are reports of controversial health implications by doing so. These leach calcium content present in bone and give rise to IBS when consumed in large quantities.

Distilled water

Of all the varieties of water, this is the purest of 99.96 percent. This is sourced through the process of distillation which means evaporating water and leave all its contaminants. This contains no germs at all, and also doesn’t have any dissolved salt.

RO water

RO or Reverse Osmosis involves using high pressure where water is forced into a semi permeable membrane. All the dissolved salts, bacteria, pathogens and organics present in the water are removed. With aging, the RO membrane will become unreliable for removing germs or viruses.
