Video calling on WhatsApp

Posted on: 14/May/2016 2:52:00 PM
As rumored everywhere, the video calling feature on WhatsApp is set to get launched very soon. This feature is already available for WhatsApp Messenger app on Android devices for beta testers that are under 20.16.80 version.

WhatsApp brings each of its features user friendly. The Video calling facility is no exception. One can make video call just by clicking on the phone icon present at the right top corner of the specific chat. Earlier, when the icon is clicked, it will directly connect you to an audio call, whereas now, it will demand for your choice whether to make voice call or audio call. This feature will not be accessible under the Calls menu for now though!

Furthermore, the video calling option will appear in the options, but users will not be able to make calls. When the option is selected, you will get notified about the unavailability of the feature for now. The feature being already seen in the WhatsApp Messenger app, we can very soon expect the app to be functional.

It is also to be noted that the beta testers are free to update the WhatsApp version from Google Play Store. This beta version is so far not made available to iOS users.
What’s more

Following this, the messaging app will add a call back feature to facilitate its users to make a call back if they had missed any call without noticing the app.

The next exciting feature on WhatsApp will be recording voice mails that will allow users to record voice mails and share it with others in their chat list. There are rumors about zip file sharing on the instant messaging app.

Earlier this week, WhatsApp had launched document sharing feature on its web platform. It was during last year that this document sharing feature was launched on Android and iOS apps.
