Paid holiday for all employees on Election Day

Director of Industrial Safety and Health has directed that all employees should be given paid holiday on the occasion of State Assembly elections on 16th May.
The Director of Industrial Safety and Health, P. Bose in a press release has mentioned that as per the per provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and the guidelines of the election commission all the employees including permanent, temporary, contract labourers and casual labourers working in the industries in Tamil Nadu should be given paid holiday on 16th May to cast their votes in the state assembly elections.
It has been requested that this holiday is granted to cast their votes hence everybody should cast their votes.
