Rains expected in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Chennai

The hottest season of the summer is called Agni Natchathiram. This began on 4th May. At this juncture rainfall occurred at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu and isolated rainfall occurred over Coastal Tamil Nadu. This has brought done the intensity of heat. Though there was rains in some parts of Tamil Nadu, heavy heat was experienced in other parts of Tamil Nadu. Tirutani recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.    
 
Today rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu and at one or two places over Coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned, the sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light rain or thundershowers likely to occur in some areas.  Maximum and minimum temperature is most likely to be around 37 and 28 degree c respectively
