Last date for issue of mark sheets for private candidates

Private candidates who have not received their original mark sheets of standard VIII examination held in December 2008 should apply for the same before July 30.

Many mark sheets sent by post have been returned to the office of the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations here. As per the established norms, the mark sheets will be destroyed after two years of the commencement of the distribution of the same.

For the candidates who appeared for the exam in December 2008, this is the final chance for getting their mark sheets, S.Lakshmi, Deputy Director of Government Examinations, said in an official press release issued here on Thursday.

The candidates should apply in a white paper with details of name, date of birth, examination appeared, name of the centre and enclose a self-addressed envelope with Rs.30 stamp affixed on it. The applications should be sent to the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, 1-A, Arabic College Street, Khaja Nagar, Tiruchi-20 by July 30.

Private candidates who appeared for the exams in December 2009 and December 2010 can also apply to get their certificates now, she added.
