AIADMK Election Manifesto 2016 - Highlights

General secretary of AIADMK J Jayalalitha unveiled the election manifesto of her party during the election campaign that took place at Perundhurai, near Erode. The first copy of the election manifesto was handed over to Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, Thambidurai. A farmer and a lady also received copies of the same.

Here are the highlighs of the ADMK manifesto:
  • Free cell phones for all ration card holders.
  • One sovereign gold for women ahead of marriages
  • Women to get 50 percent subsidy to buy mopeds of scooties
  • Master health check-up and women special check up to be expanded to all districts.
  • 100 units electricity free every two months.
  • Free Wi-Fi at public spaces.
  • Maternity assistance of Rs. 18,000
  • Waiver of all farm loans
  • Rs 40,000 crore loans for farmers in 2016-2021
  • Free Laptops with internet for 10th and 12th std students.
  • Education loans of students who are still unemployed to be paid by the govt.
  • Breakfast under nutritious meal scheme.
  • All ration card holders to get co-optex coupons worth Rs. 500 for Pongal festival.
  • Women to be trained in driving vehicles and subsidy provided to buy auto-rickshaws.
  • 10 lakh houses promised through various housing schemes.
  • Housing loans for govt. employees to be raised to Rs. 40 lakh
  • Aavin to provide milk for Rs. 25 per litre.
  • New granite policy, Lok Ayukta on the anvil.
  • Old pension scheme for govt. employees to continue.
  • No FDI in retail
  • State govt. employees salary to be revised as per 7th Pay Commission.
  • Fisherfolk assistance to be hiked to Rs 5000
  • Govt. to reimburse education loan.
  • 20 percent land on SME industrial parks will be reserved for SC/ST entrepreneurs.
  • Amma banking card to improve financial services.to get interest-free loans and avail of government schemes.
  • Separate housing for fisherfolks.
  • Farmers loans to be paid Cooperative banks completely waived off
  • Assures uninterrupted supply of power
  • Poor people to get Amma Banking Card to avail all government services
  • Rs. 1 lakh for temples of local deities.
