On May 9th Mercury will cross the sun. Arrangements have been made to view this rare event at Birla Planetarium.
Rare event is to take place on 9th. The Mercury will be crossing the sun. This rare event will take place once in 10 years. So scientists and the public are eagerly waiting to see this rare event. This should not be seen in blind eyes. They should be seen through a telescope or high-powered binoculars with solar filters.
The transit will take place on 9th. This can be seen in the sky between 4.15 PM to 6.20 PM. Since the diameter of the mercury will be lesser than the sun, it will be seen as a small black dot.
