Madurai High Court Bench says that it cannot stop plus 2 results

In Tamil Nadu, 12th standard public examinations were held between 4th March to 1st April. The chemistry examinations were held on 14th March.
Those who have attended question number 18 in Part I and question number 70 (b) in Part IV of the Chemistry paper in Plus Two examinations have mentioned that these questions were wrongly asked. Hence the students demanded a re-examination. Though the Government did not agree for this, the education department has mentioned it will grace marks of 6.
S. Samuel Asir Raj from Tirunelveli filed a petition that grace marks should be given. In the petition he has mentioned : My son S Richard Samuel has written the 12th examinations and is waiting for the results. To score high marks in this examinations be burnt the midnight oil. question number 18 in Part I and question number 70 (b) in Part IV of the Chemistry paper in Plus Two examinations was very tough. Only the talented students can answer these questions. Many of the students including my son have tackled this tough question. At this juncture, the director of examinations has come forward to give full marks to the students who attempted to answer this question. This is against the law. Both these questions were asked from the text books and not from outside. It is the mistakes of the students. If grace marks are given then the genuine talents students will be affected. Hence I request that no grace marks should be awarded.
Madurai High Court Branch judges T S Sivagnanam and P N Prakash have refused to stall the results. The Court has directed to send notice to school secretary, examination secretary and education directors with regard to this. The case is coming up again for argument during the month of June.
