Severe power problems in the coming years

Central Electricity Authority have mentioned that despite the growth of the talents amongst the youngsters, there would be dearth for electricity on the other side. In the coming years, there will be short supply of electricity in northern and southern states.
In the year 2015-16, there was dearth of 1875 megawatts of power in northern region. This in the year 2021-22 will increase from 18753 megawatts to 22,269 megawatts. In the southern region, the average shortage of electricity was 104 megawatts. In the year 2021-22, the shortage will increase from 4872 megawatts to 6748 megawatts.
However, the shortage can be managed by the surplus electricity produced in east, west and north east regions.
