Paramilitary forces arrive in Chennai

Chennai Police Commissioner Ashutosh Shukla has mentioned that 18 companies of paramilitary forces will arrive for election duty for the Chennai District election duty.
In Tamil Nadu, assembly elections are to be held in 16 constituencies in Chennai District. A review meeting was held at Ripon Buildings regarding the arrangements made for elections. The meeting was chaired by district election officer P Chandramohan. Election over lookers and Chennai police commissioner Ashutosh Shukla participated in the meeting.
Election arrangements, works related to the elections, security arrangements in the constituencies, sensitive voting booths, booths to which the paramilitary forces should be sent were discussed during the meeting. Other details regarding the control room complaints and flying squads were also discussed.
