Complaint numbers for firms with no holiday on May 16

With the elections for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly scheduled on 16th May, the Election Commission is working full swing to make all the necessary preparations and arrangements.

The Election Commission is making all-out and earnest efforts to ensure 100 percent voting.

As an important step, the Election Commission has ordered that all the employees working in private shops and organisations should be given a paid-holiday on the Election Day.

In this scenario, an awareness meeting was conducted in the Tidel Park in Taramani, Chennai on the importance of every citizen must cast his/her vote.

Labour Collector Ms P.Amudha emphasised the need for 100 percent vote by telling that all eligible citizens must cast their votes. After this, all employees in the field of software took the oath for voting.

Joint collector M Ravishankar, Assistant Collector U. Lakshmikanthan, Managing Director of Tidel Park, Mr. Shanmugasundaram, and Trading Manager N Viswanathan participated.

A special control room has been set up for receiving complaints in Chennai district regarding the institutions and organisation which did not declare a paid-holiday on the election day.
