Anna University website crashes

The online registration for Tamilnadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) for the forthcoming academic year (2016-17) commenced yesterday. Due to heavy traffic on the first day the server of the University crashed which resulted in hardship to the candidates. Anna University has decided to upgrade the server and also set up 20 facility centres in the premises of University to help the students.
This is the first time that Anna University has come up with online registration for 538 engineering colleges in the State. The university has provided details about the online process at www.annauniv.edu/tnea2016.
The dates for assigning the random number, publication of rank list and commencement of single-window counselling will be decided after the date of Plus-Two results announcement is known.
Like TNEA, registration for MBBS and BDS courses will be made online. TNEA counselling will start after the commencement of medical counselling.
