All Tasmac shops to remain closed on Mahaveer Jayanthi

District Collector G. Govindaraj has mentioned that in view of Mahaveer Jayanthi on April 19 , all Tasmac shops will remain closed in the city.
As per the Rule 12 of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in shops and bars) Rules 2003 and Rule 25 II (a) of the Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules 1981, all Tasmac IMFL retail vending shops and attached bars and those bars attached to hotels shall remain closed.
In the event of any violation being detected in any shop or bars, disciplinary action shall be taken against the persons responsible.
