Petrol price was reduced by 74 paise per litre & diesel rate slashed by Rs 1.30.
The revised rates will take effect from the midnight of Friday & Saturday.
Rates will differ from state to state due to differential local sales tax or VAT rates. In Chennai petrol price will cost Rs 60.58 per litre & diesel price will cost Rs 48.76 per litre.
