Engineering courses: No change in fee structure!

There is no change in the fee structure for self-financing engineering colleges in the State for 2011-12.
The fee for B.E, B.Tech, B.Arch courses under government quota in non-accredited courses will be Rs. 32, 500 and it will be Rs. 40,000 for accredited courses.
For management quota seats, the fee will continue to be Rs. 62,500 for both accredited and non-accredited courses, said Justice N.V. Balasubramanian, Chairman, Committee on Fixation of Fee for Self-financing Professional Colleges.
In an extensive review of the data provided by the self-financing engineering colleges, it became evident that the income was more than expenditure in a majority of the colleges following the present fee structure, Mr. Balasubramanian said, explaining the rationale behind not increasing the fee from last year.
