Smart ration card created by college students

Students of Easwari Engineering College, Ramapuram have started works connected with smart ration cards. Dr.K.M.Anandkumar who is the head of the computer science said, Our students have created this smart ration card to eradicate many kinds of problem that are arising in government ration shops. When going to ration shop people don`t need to carry the ration card instead they can carry smart cards.
The smart card contains the details of the citizen (name, phone number, address, family member`s name, email id, photo of the family head). Citizen can view the price list displayed in led board in ration shop with the total quantity of the stock available.
After each and every transactions the stock get reduced in board and the citizen receives the sms and email from government of Tamilnadu with the purchased time and no of products bought with the product id.
Our computer science department students Karthikeyan, Kiran Raj and Anandan have invented this card which will be very useful to the society. This card was created under the special guidance of college Principal Dr K S Srinivasan. When the Tamil Nadu Government implements this scheme, this card will be very useful.
